Final installation work on the steel safety barriers is being carried out at the “Korenishki Dol” structure (at km 36+450) on the Hemus Motorway.
Following the installation of road restraint systems on the Trakia Motorway viaducts at km 13, 15, 17, and 21 earlier this summer, final installation and quality control activities are currently underway at the Korenishki Dol viaduct. The timely completion of this latest landmark bridge project reinforces the reputation of KMV Road Safety Systems Ltd. as a reliable and responsible partner in ensuring road safety.
Traffic safety in the viaduct area is ensured by a 956-meter H4bW3 road restraint system, designed to contain a heavy goods vehicle with a gross weight of 38 tonnes. Safety at the structure is further enhanced by the installation of over 1,000 meters of safety netting. At the bridge’s two abutments, 385 meters of H2W3 restraint systems have been installed, transitioning seamlessly into the standard H1W4 motorway end terminal system.
