“KMV Road Safety Systems” Ltd. is the manufacturer of the road restraint systems installed on the newly constructed section of Road I-8, from km 15+500 to km 23+300.
The newly constructed right-hand carriageway of the modernized section of Road I-8 (Slivnitsa–Dragoman) has been secured with road restraint systems manufactured by KMV Road Safety Systems Ltd. In just over two weeks, more than 10,000 meters of steel safety barriers were manufactured and installed. A total of 7,600 meters of EasyRail systems—featuring an H2 containment level and a W4 working width—were installed in the central median. Their installation required the placement of over 5,000 posts, each 1,600 mm in length.
H2W2 systems were installed in the median areas adjacent to bridge piers, while H2W3 systems were used near the abutments.
An H1W4 restraint system spanning over 2 km was installed along the high embankments at the end of the section (at km 23).
The tireless efforts of five installation teams ensured that all commitments were met.
